8/29/10 Weekly Highlights:

Week one(1) went down in the books with a victory. I was please with all facets of the game especially with our Special Teams. Although we weren’t really challenged in all areas; our young men hustled and came together and worked as one unit.

I’m sure we completed or fulfilled 2 of 3 components of (EDM) in terms of this year’s slogan Education, Determination & Motivation. What motivated me was to see our “YMs” (young men) who were determined not to be out done or intimidated by the home team or by home field advantage by displaying character, leadership and playing with lots of heart. We also saw a young man determine to go back into the game with a injury or possible fracture to help his fellow teammates not only insure a victory, but to also not allow the other team to score. The victory is theirs and theirs alone!

Lastly, I also, felt the intensity from our coaches and saw the excitement in our fans who also deserve “a round of applause” as well, for conducting themselves like adults and being examples to our YMs and for not boasting or bragging for the win at Maywood.
